Well, hello again. It’s September 10…Sunday September 10, 2006

Yeah, I know. This is ridiculous. July 2…when was that? Back a ways.
Well, here’s what I’ve been doing since then: Didn’t have mail art in July because it was 97 degrees in the studio; did have mail art in August and had another good time, but we missed Mrs. Staggs. By the way, this coming Friday the 15th is Mail Art again. Drop in any time between 4 and 10.
I went to Berkeley for a few days, as a delegate to the convention of the Grand Lodge of The United Finnish Brothers and Sisters. The Berkeley Lodge is one of the few remaining chapters that still have a hall, in this case one built in 1933. It’s a great old building and it was very special to be able to meet there. So much more character than hotel conference rooms, and way better food–cooked downstairs by members of the group. Had fun walking around town and riding the bus and looking. Very impressed with BART and how well it works. Didn’t get to have dinner at Chez Panisse, unfortunately.
Last weekend we went to Astoria, Oregon to a wedding. Astoria is a wonderful small town, but I think a lot of people are disovering that (and now YOU know, too) so it may be looking at big changes in the near future.
But enough about me. I’ll put up something more interesting tomorrow.
