Halloween November 10, 2007

We had a very quiet Halloween this year…NO trick-or treaters at all! Now, mind you, we never get many…but this year I didn’t even hear them out on the avenue. I guess the Saturday before Halloween go-to-the-businesses has become the big event. And I have to admit, although I miss having the little guys (or big guys) come to the door, it is pretty fun to sit outside the bakery for a couple of hours in the nice fall sunshine, drinking coffee and watching hundreds of kids traipsing by. The results of my very unofficial survey of the spectacle is this:
Girls–all ages:
1. Princess
2. Witch
3. Cat (black)
Boys– all ages:
1. Superhero
2. Pirate
3. King/knight/medieval guy with cape, crown and sword.
Girls and Boys–small
1. Fuzzy animal PJs
Parents
No clear winner; about 60% in costume.
So, there you have it.
You have GOT to look at this. October 16, 2007

It’s a video. It may a while to load. Be patient. Trust me.

Yes, I’ve closed my website for a while. It was getting pretty unwieldy, as I kept adding on to my rather clumsy early HTML. So, I am committed to trying to learn Cascading Style Sheets so I can redesign it in a more efficient and attractive way. We’ll see. If the CSS turns out to be harder than I think, I’ll put the site back up as it is. Was. Has been. Will be.
Meanwhile, I’ll be putting all my cyber-eggs into this blog basket.

Just a quick reminder that there are now two Mixed Media Art Parties in the studio each month…3rd Fridays as usual and 1st Tuesdays as well.
Meanwhile Halloween comes ever closer. Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy.
